Beth A. Bachert

Dr. Beth A. Bachert serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Life Science at the United States Military Academy (USMA), where she will teach CH375 Advanced Biology during Academic Year 2025. Her academic leadership bridges chemistry and life sciences with specialized expertise in infectious disease mechanisms.

Her educational foundation includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Genetic Engineering from Cedar Crest College (2011)
• Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis from West Virginia University (2017)

Dr. Bachert's research program targets multidrug-resistant pathogens through bacteriophage discovery and characterization, building on her prior investigations into biofilm formation in group A Streptococcus and Francisella tularensis pathogenesis.
