Bert Lazerow is a Professor of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he has been a faculty member since 1967. He served as the Founding Director of the Summer Law Programs Abroad from 1973 to 2013. His academic and professional roles also include being a legal writing teaching fellow at George Washington University, a visiting professor at Université de Paris X Nanterre and UC Berkeley School of Law, and a contributor to legal advisory groups for the American Law Institute.

Notably, he has contributed to harmonizing cross-border legal frameworks, such as CISG interpretation and international arbitration, while addressing ethical and historical dimensions in art law.
