Bert Lazerow

Bert Lazerow is a Professor of Law at the University of San Diego School of Law, where he has been a faculty member since 1967. He served as the Founding Director of the Summer Law Programs Abroad from 1973 to 2013. His academic and professional roles also include being a legal writing teaching fellow at George Washington University, a visiting professor at Université de Paris X Nanterre and UC Berkeley School of Law, and a contributor to legal advisory groups for the American Law Institute.

He has explored negotiation frameworks for international business agreements and taxation compliance in the art market.

His publications since 2016 reflect a consistent emphasis on legal analysis, international law, and tax policy. Notably, he has contributed to harmonizing cross-border legal frameworks, such as CISG interpretation and international arbitration, while addressing ethical and historical dimensions in art law.
