Bert Lauwers is a full professor at KU Leuven's Faculty of Industrial Engineering Sciences, affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He leads the Manufacturing Processes and Systems (MaPS) unit at Campus De Nayer Sint-Katelijne-Waver while holding multiple administrative roles across Leuven campuses.
