Bernhard Waldmann is a Full Professor of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Freiburg i.Ue. since 2003 and has served as Director of the Institute for Federalism since 2008. He is also an editor of the Writings on Rural Law - Collection de Droit Rural.
- Education: Licentiate in Law (1993) and Doctorate in Law (1997) from the University of Freiburg i.Ue., with internships in the Canton of Fribourg (1996-1998) and admission to the bar (1999).
- Research Focus: Constitutional and administrative law, federalism, and rural legal frameworks.
Key Career Milestones: Associate Professor at University of Freiburg (2001-2003), Habilitation with Venia Legendi for Constitutional and Administrative Law (2003), and Director of the Institute for Federalism (since 2008). He has also undertaken research stays at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (2000) and the University of California, Berkeley (2000-2001).
