Bernd Lenz is a Professor of Addiction Research at Heidelberg University's Medical Faculty Mannheim and Deputy Head of the Department of Addictive Behavior and Addiction Medicine at the Central Institute of Mental Health. His research focuses on the biological, neurodevelopmental, and clinical aspects of addiction, with a translational emphasis on preventive and therapeutic strategies. He leads the Research Group Integrative Neuroscience of Addictive Behaviors and contributes to major projects like the CRC/TRR265 and IMAC-Mind initiatives.
