Bernd Kreussler

Dr. Bernd Kreussler is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Mathematics & Computer Studies at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Limerick, Ireland. He holds a Diplom Mathematiker (Dipl. Math) and Dr. rer. nat from Humboldt University Berlin, and a Dr. rer. nat habilitation from the University of Kaiserslautern. His research focuses on algebraic geometry, twistor spaces, mirror symmetry, and derived categories in mathematical physics.

Dr. Kreussler has supervised multiple postgraduate researchers, including Arne Rüffer (PhD, 2021), Lisa Kierans (MA, 2010), and Ciara Daly (MA, 2007). His work spans theoretical contributions to vector bundles, Yang-Baxter equations, and geometric structures, with publications in journals like Compositio Mathematica and Journal of the London Mathematical Society.

His academic career includes roles at the University of Kaiserslautern, where he advised Dipl.-Math. students Bijan Afshordel and Sergey Mozgovoy.
