Bernard Tilleman

Bernard Tilleman is a full professor at the Faculty of Law and Criminology at KU Leuven, where he leads research initiatives and teaches courses in private law, contract law, and legal methodology. He serves as head of the Centre for Methodology of Law, the Institute for Contract Law, and the Teacher Training program within the faculty.

• Key Research Areas: Individual academic freedom, nullity of legal decisions, dual-use technologies, and conflicts in private/corporate law.
• Advising: Supervises PhD students including K. Dewaele, B. Demarsin, and F. Pollefeyt.
• Teaching: Courses such as Foundations of Private Law, Introduction to Legal Science, and specialized seminars on contracts and corporate law.
