Bernard Koomson is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies (CIM), University of Warwick. His research focuses on digital health, youth rights, and transnational migration dynamics. Previously, he held roles as a Research and Teaching Associate at the University of Bristol and a Teaching Associate at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
Education: PhD (Sociology) and BA from KNUST (Ghana), MSc Development Studies (SOAS, University of London). Awards include the Commonwealth Scholarship (2012).
Current projects include the Foundation Botnar-funded initiative on 'The Future of Human Rights in the Digital Age,' spanning Kenya, Ghana, Vietnam, and Colombia. He coordinates research under Principal Investigator Prof. Sara (Meg) Davis.
Teaching: Global Digital Health and Human Rights module at CIM.
Research employs participatory action methodologies, addressing power inequalities in digital governance and marginalized youth's access to health rights.
