Berna Polat Aksu is a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Management and Entrepreneurship Department at Saint Mary’s College School of Economics and Business Administration. She also serves as Associate Dean and Director of the Center for the Regional Economy, focusing on entrepreneurship outreach and community engagement.
Education:
- PhD in Strategic Management from University of Washington (2005)
- MBA in Finance and Marketing from San Francisco State University (1994)
- BA in Political Science and International Relations from Bosphorus University (1990)
Research Interests: Strategy formulation, global management, entrepreneurial mindset development, top management team dynamics, innovation ecosystems, and corporate governance. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in emerging markets and high-growth ventures.
