معرفی
Berna Doğan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Istanbul Technical University. Her research focuses on computational and experimental approaches to drug discovery, including molecular dynamics simulations, machine learning models for enzyme selectivity, and in vitro/in silico evaluation of enzyme inhibitors. She has led projects on HIV-1 protease resistance prediction, CCR5 receptor structural analysis, and HDAC isoform targeting. Her work integrates bioinformatics, medicinal chemistry, and structural biology to address challenges in cancer and infectious disease treatment.
Key projects include TUBITAK-funded studies on RNA methylation mechanisms and BAP-funded investigations into SIRT7 inhibitors and CCR5 structural diversity. She has authored over 19 publications since 2012, with notable work on glioblastoma therapies and SARS-CoV-2 drug screening. Her lab collaborates internationally and employs advanced computational tools alongside experimental validations.
