Berenice Mahoney is a Principal Lecturer in Psychology and Social Science, and Lead of the Three Counties Medical School at the University of Worcester. Her work bridges healthcare practice and academia through interdisciplinary research focused on patient experiences with long-term conditions, healthcare professional training needs, and allergy-related vaccine hesitancy. She holds affiliations with NHS institutions, industry partners, and serves on the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology Psychology Working Group.

Research interests include breast cancer patient experiences, occult breast cancer, and the intersection of sexuality, gender identity, and health. She contributes to human rights asylum cases as an expert witness and actively participates in editorial roles for health journals. Current projects explore allergy-related vaccine hesitancy and occult breast cancer patient experiences.
Teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs including PSYC3661, PSYC3668, MPSY4200, MPSY4254, and the MBChB Researcher Development Programme for staff and doctoral students.
