Berat Alper Erol is a Lecturer in the Computer Engineering Department at Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH). He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Kocaeli University, two M.Sc. degrees (Software Engineering from St. Mary’s University and Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UTSA (2018). His research focuses on unmanned autonomous systems, intelligent robotics, machine learning, human-robot interaction, and the Internet of Robotic Things. He has worked with prestigious institutions like the Air Force Research Lab and NASA, contributing to projects funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and industry partners.
