Bent Johann Rech

Bent Johann Rech is a researcher at the Institute of Social Ecology, part of the Department of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). His work focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of human ecology, environmental protection, and sustainable resource management.

His research interests include

• Sustainable agricultural practices
• Wildlife science

He is currently involved in the DESTINY project (Design and Sustainability Assessment of Innovative biomass production systems and value-chains in the Bioeconomy), funded by the European Commission, collaborating across multiple BOKU institutes including the Centre for Bioeconomy.
