Benoît Pier

Benoît Pier is a Researcher at the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics (UMR 5509), affiliated with CNRS and École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon). He is part of the Turbulence & Instabilities research team, focusing on fundamental and applied fluid dynamics problems.

• Research Interests: Open shear flows, three-dimensional boundary layers, vortex shedding, instabilities in rotating/curved flows, pulsating flows, and biofluid mechanics.
• Methodologies: Investigates absolute/convective instabilities, asymptotic modeling, and transition control mechanisms through theoretical and experimental approaches.
