Benoît Beausir serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Lorraine, affiliated with the LEM3 Laboratory (UMR CNRS 7239) under Department IMPACT (Department 2), with teaching responsibilities in UFR MIM (Faculty of Science and Technology covering Mathematics, Computer Science, and Mechanics).
His research centers on mechanics of materials and materials science within LEM3—a joint research unit of the University of Lorraine, CNRS, and Arts et Métiers. The laboratory focuses on microstructure analysis, material behavior under stress, and advanced engineering processes, supported by EU-cofinanced facilities at 7 rue Félix Savart in Metz.
LEM3 operates through three specialized departments: D1–MMSV (Materials, Mechanics, Structures, Vibrations), D2–IMPACT (Engineering of Materials, Processes, Behavior, Technology), and D3–T-PRIOM (Thermal, Processes, Risks, Optimization, Materials). Dr. Beausir's work in IMPACT integrates computational modeling with experimental mechanics for industrial applications.
