معرفی
Dr. Benoit Duchet is a Royal Academy of Engineering and Rosetrees Research Fellow at the MRC Brain Network Dynamics Unit (BNDU) of the University of Oxford. He holds an engineering degree from École des Ponts ParisTech (2010), an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London (2011), and a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford (2020) under Prof. Rafal Bogacz. His research integrates biomedical engineering and computational/mathematical neuroscience to develop next-generation brain stimulation therapies and diagnostics for neurological disorders like Parkinson’s disease.
His work focuses on mathematical modeling of neural circuits, particularly those affected by Parkinson’s, to improve deep brain stimulation (DBS) techniques. Key contributions include optimizing DBS protocols through computational models, analyzing beta/gamma oscillations, and exploring phase-amplitude coupling in neural networks. His recent articles highlight applications of predictive coding, mean-field approximations, and resonant neural activity in DBS contexts.
