Benn Lawson is a Professor of Operations Management at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. His research focuses on global supply chain dynamics, governance, and the impact of digital technologies. He previously taught at the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School and holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne.
Key research interests include supply chain performance, sustainable procurement, strategic sourcing, and buyer-supplier relationships. He co-authored two textbooks: Process Theory: The Principles of Operations Management and Strategic Supply Management: Principles, Theories, and Practice.
Teaching responsibilities include MBA and Executive MBA programs at Oxford. His work bridges theoretical insights with practical implications, addressing challenges such as cross-cultural collaboration, AI-driven supply chain efficiency, and social sustainability in global operations.
Publications span topics like digitalization in supply chains, conflict resolution in cross-cultural relationships, and the economic effects of modern slavery regulations. He actively contributes to advancing methodological frameworks for empirical research in operations management.
