Dr. Benjamin Scott Young is a Lecturer in the Honors College at the University of South Florida, specializing in interdisciplinary approaches to philosophy, ethics, and human experience. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of South Florida and a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from Eckerd College. His academic work explores themes of flourishing, hermeneutic phenomenology, neurophenomenology, and the ethical implications of generative AI and learning technology.

He teaches courses such as Flourishing: Cultivating Persons, Cultures & Environments of Well-being and Phenomenology & Existentialism, blending philosophy, psychology, and the arts. Dr. Young coordinates the first-year seminar Acquisition of Knowledge: Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Practical Wisdom and leads immersive study abroad programs in England, including the Honors Semester in Exeter and Honors in London.
