Benjamin Peters is the Director of the Global Scholars Program and Adjunct Lecturer in Curriculum Support at the University of Michigan. Previously, he served as a Professor of Political Science, Dean of the School of International Liberal Arts, and Vice President at Miyazaki International College in Japan. His research focuses on the human right to peace, cultures of peace, Japanese and Costa Rican politics, constitutional antimilitarism, and social movements. He holds a PhD from Rutgers University (2010), MAIS from the University of Washington (2004), and BA from the University of North Carolina (1994).
