Dr. Benjamin Moffitt is a Senior Lecturer in Politics & International Relations at Monash University's School of Social Sciences. He previously held roles as Associate Professor at Australian Catholic University and postdoctoral fellowships at Uppsala and Stockholm Universities. His research focuses on challenges to liberal democracy, particularly populism, and he is a leading global expert in the field, authoring influential books such as The Global Rise of Populism and Populism. Moffitt has secured over $1.5M AUD in research funding, including an ARC Discovery Early Career Award for his work on visual politics.
