Benjamin Hoffmann is a Professor of French & Francophone Literature and Director of Graduate Studies at The Ohio State University's Department of French and Italian. He holds a PhD from Yale University and advanced degrees from the Sorbonne and École Normale Supérieure. His work bridges academic scholarship and creative writing, focusing on 18th-century French literature, transatlantic studies, and the legacies of Enlightenment thought. He leads the Center of Excellence promoting Franco-American cultural exchange, including the Jules Verne Writing Residency and French Press YouTube channel.
