معرفی
Benjamin Haley is a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Université de Montréal's Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms underlying cancer, immune responses, and gene editing technologies. Key projects include investigating microRNA function, drug resistance in melanomas, and optimizing CRISPR-based tools for genetic engineering. He leads or collaborates on grants funded by the CRSNG and Fondation canadienne pour l'innovation (FCI).
Research interests span cancer biology, immunotherapy, and genetic tools. His work bridges fundamental biology with translational applications, such as improving CAR-T cell therapies and developing scalable genome editing platforms. Recent studies highlight discoveries in neoantigen identification, TLR7 ligand design, and tumor microenvironment dynamics.
- Grants: Overseeing projects like 'Factors Governing MicroRNA Function' (CRSNG) and 'CELLENGINE' (FCI).
- Advising: Collaborates with teams on stem cell translation and epigenetic regulation in cancer.
Labs and teams: Active in collaborative networks focused on translational medicine and gene therapy.
