Benjamin E. Partridge is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Rochester, within the School of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on supramolecular chemistry, bioinspired materials, and self-assembly in water, with a particular emphasis on mimicking biological systems through synthetic molecular assemblies.
Partridge earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. His work bridges organic, biological, and materials chemistry, employing techniques such as NMR, DSC, and TEM to study supramolecular systems. Recent research directions include developing synthetic protein chaperones and hierarchical assemblies mimicking the extracellular matrix.
His publications span topics like DNA-programmed protein assembly, colloidal crystal valency, and amphiphilic dendron applications. The group’s interdisciplinary approach trains members in organic synthesis, protein engineering, and advanced materials characterization.
