Bernard’s research explores strategic interactions in continuous-time frameworks, addressing topics like stochastic games, network-based financial stability, and capacity-constrained market competition. His recent work includes characterizing equilibrium payoffs in stochastic games and analyzing systemic risk in banking networks.
His publications span journals like The Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Political Economy, and Management Science, reflecting interdisciplinary applications of game theory to economics and finance. He has also developed LaTeX packages (xgames, assign, fikz) to aid in teaching and presentation design.
