Benjamin Baer

Benjamin Baer is a Lecturer in Statistics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of St Andrews. He is affiliated with the Centre for Research into Ecological & Environmental Modelling. His research focuses on semiparametric efficiency theory and medical statistics, with applications to healthcare and medical data analysis. He collaborates with networks like the Red Colaborativa Pediátrica de Latinoamérica and the Bronchiolitis And COdetectioN (BACON) Study Investigators, emphasizing pediatric critical care and respiratory disease research. His work also addresses genomic influences on microbiome function and methodological advancements in survival analysis and clinical trial robustness.

Benjamin holds a PhD and has contributed to multiple research outputs. He currently supervises two PhD students, Haoyu Liu and Yuexin Wu, and is accepting further postgraduate research applications.
