Benedikt Sabass

Benedikt Sabass is a Tenure Track Professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitaet Muenchen (LMU Munich), with a primary affiliation in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and a secondary affiliation in the Faculty of Physics. He leads the Sabass Group, focusing on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of theoretical physics, biology, and veterinary medicine. His work emphasizes stochastic micromechanics of cells and multicellular systems, particularly in understanding pathogen migration, host invasion, and cellular regulatory processes.

Education: PhD in Theoretical Physics (2012, Stuttgart University), Diploma in Physics (2008, Heidelberg University). Career highlights include postdoctoral research at Princeton University (2014–2016) and group leadership at the Research Centre Jülich (2016–2020).
