Benedict Sheehy is a Professor of Law at the Canberra Law School, University of Canberra. An internationally recognized expert in Corporate Social Responsibility, corporate law, and regulatory theory, he holds a PhD from the Australian National University and multiple advanced degrees including a JD from the University of Windsor. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and formerly practiced as a barrister in Canada.
His interdisciplinary research examines law's role in achieving social and environmental sustainability, spanning law, business, psychology, and philosophy. Recent work focuses on corporate governance frameworks, regulatory failures, and social enterprise models.
Sheehy's publications reflect a strong emphasis on practical legal solutions for global challenges like food security, corporate accountability, and workplace ethics. His 2024 articles analyze multi-level legal interfaces and psychological dynamics in corporate environments.
