Ben Wiggershaus

Dr. Ben Wiggershaus serves as Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies within the Department of Biblical Studies and Ministry at Belhaven University, transitioning to full-time faculty in 2025 after five years as an adjunct instructor for the Master of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies program.

Research Focus: Specializing in Old Testament exegesis with emphasis on the Book of Numbers and Pentateuch, Dr. Wiggershaus employs comparative methodology analyzing Ancient Near Eastern parallels to biblical texts. His Hebrew language expertise informs studies of prophetic literature and wisdom writings, particularly the Balaam narrative (Numbers 22–24) where he examines revelatory conventions through cross-cultural lenses.
