Ben Skipper

Ben Skipper is a Lecturer of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and serves as Executive Director of Aerospace & Defense Programs and Director of the Heath Integrated Business & Engineering Program. He is affiliated with the Haslam College of Business and collaborates with corporate partners to advance supply chain knowledge across academia and industry.

Education:

• Doctorate in Management, Auburn University
• Masters in Logistics Management, US Air Force Institute of Technology

His research focuses on supply chain disruption avoidance, strategy, and leadership, with publications in journals such as the Journal of Business Logistics and International Journal of Logistics Management. He has held tenure-track roles at institutions including the Air Force Institute of Technology and Georgia Southern University.

Before academia, Skipper spent 20 years in the US Air Force, commanding strategic supply chain operations and holding logistics leadership roles. He currently oversees the Aerospace & Defense Programs and collaborates on interdisciplinary initiatives through the Heath Integrated Program.
