Ben Phillips is a Professor and Dean of the College of Christian Studies at Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership. He holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2003) and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from the same institution (1997). His undergraduate degree in History is from the University of Maryland (1993).
His research focuses on Systematic Theology, Homiletics, and Environmental Ethics. Recent publications include chapters on modern theological pedagogy and Reformation-era preaching. His peer-reviewed work spans topics such as prophetic preaching, Trinitarian theology, and climate change ethics.
