معرفی
Dr. Ben Morgan is a Teaching Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Swansea University, affiliated with the School of Aerospace, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He holds a first-class MEng in Mechanical Engineering and is nearing completion of an EngD in Materials, Manufacturing, and Modelling. His research focuses on improving prosthetic design through computational and experimental methods to address gait biomechanics and patient health outcomes. Dr. Morgan is also pursuing a fellowship in higher education.
Education:
- MEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
- EngD (in submission) Materials, Manufacturing & Modelling
Research Interests: Dr. Morgan specializes in mechanical design optimization, prosthetic biomechanics, and data-driven approaches to healthcare engineering. His doctoral work redefines passive prosthetic foot design methodologies to enhance gait symmetry and reduce health risks for amputees.
Teaching: He instructs core engineering modules including Engineering Management, Simulation-Based Product Design, and Mechanical Engineering Practice. Current taught modules include EG-000, EG-3080, EGA132, and others focusing on design, simulation, and professional engineering practices.
Labs/Teams: While no specific lab is mentioned, his research aligns with biomechanical engineering and prosthetics development within the university's engineering faculty.
