Ben Lee is a Professor and currently serves as Associate School Head for Undergraduate Programs in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University. He joined the department in 1991 as an assistant professor and has since become a full professor.

Lee's research spans multimedia streaming, wireless networks, embedded systems, computer architecture, and parallel/distributed systems. His work bridges hardware and software, focusing on optimizing computing performance through multi-core processors and video streaming solutions.
Key contributions include organizing IEEE workshops like Pervasive Wireless Networking (PWN) and chairing conferences such as CCNC 2018 and CCNC 2020. He was a guest editor for the Journal of Pervasive Computing and Communications and an invited/keynote speaker at international events.

Lee is also an Adjunct Faculty Member at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). His personal background includes growing up as the son of a Korean diplomat, living in seven countries, and maintaining a lifelong passion for golf.
