Ben Giepmans is affiliated with the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Groningen (UMCG), holding roles in the Metabolism and Transport (MT) department and the Basic and Translational Research and Imaging Methodology Development in Groningen (BRIDGE) group. His research focuses on advanced microscopy techniques, particularly electron microscopy, and their applications in cellular biology and medical imaging.

- Investigation of cellular processes in diabetes and cardiovascular disease
