معرفی
Ben David Normann is an Associate Professor at the Department of ICT and Science, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He holds a Master's in Theoretical Physics from NTNU and a Doctorate in Mathematical Physics from the University of Stavanger (UiS). His research focuses on gravitational lensing, anisotropic cosmological models (Bianchi models), and dynamical systems. He actively engages in science communication through platforms like YouTube and radio, emphasizing public discourse on scientific topics.
Key research interests include cosmology, mathematical physics, and astrophysics, with notable contributions to gravitational lensing simulations and bulk viscosity models in cosmology. He has published extensively in journals like Classical and Quantum Gravity and General Relativity and Gravitation. His work also explores interdisciplinary topics such as the intersection of science and theology, and the societal implications of scientific research.
Normann teaches physics and mathematics courses at NTNU and participates in outreach activities, including lectures at schools and conferences. Recent engagements include the 2024 KLC Annual Conference in Cambridge and a TED Talk on 'What is Reality?'.
