Begoña Renau Morata

Begoña Renau Morata is an Associate Professor in the Department of Plant Biology at the Faculty of Biological Sciences, Universitat de València. She is affiliated with the Univ. Institute Biotechnology and Biomedicine (BIOTECMED) and is an active member of the research group MePiVe (Primary Metabolism and Metabolic Engineering of Plants).

Her research focuses on plant physiology and biotechnology, particularly in the areas of in vitro propagation, plant conservation, and metabolic engineering. Her work integrates experimental plant biology with applied biotechnological methods to study primary metabolism in plants.

She completed her doctoral studies at the Universitat de València in 2004 with a thesis titled Conservación y propagación in vitro de Cedrus spp, supervised by Dr. Juan Segura García del Río and Dr. Isabel Arrillaga Mateos.
