Dr. Begoña Miras Moreno is a Beatriz Galindo Research Fellow in the Department of Plant Biology at Universidad de Murcia's Faculty of Biology. Her research focuses on Plant Physiology within the Plants Biofactory research group. She earned her Ph.D. from Universidad de Murcia in 2017 under the guidance of Dr. Ana Belén Sabater Jara, Dr. María Ángeles Pedreño García, and Dr. Lorena Almagro Romero.
Her work integrates metabolomic and genomic approaches to study bioactive compound production in carrot cell cultures. This research advances understanding of plant defense mechanisms and biotechnological applications for natural product synthesis.
Her doctoral research established analytical frameworks for metabolic profiling in plant biotechnology systems.
