Begoña Garcia

Begoña Garcia is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), located at the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2009. Her research focuses on numerical simulation of light propagation in random lasers, contributing to advancements in photonics and applied mathematics. She is part of the Applied Photonics Group (APG), a recognized research team within the Basque Science System.

Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Algebra, Operations Research, and Discrete Mathematics. Her work bridges theoretical computational methods with practical applications in optical systems, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to photonics research.
