Monique Beerli serves as a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Geneva, affiliated with the National Centre of Competence in Research LIVES (Overcoming Vulnerability: Life Course Perspectives). Her academic role integrates teaching responsibilities with interdisciplinary research focused on vulnerability trajectories across the human lifespan.
Her research spans Life Course Studies, Social Vulnerability, and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, examining how socioeconomic, health, and demographic factors interact to shape individual resilience. Beerli contributes to LIVES' mission of developing evidence-based interventions through longitudinal analysis and cross-disciplinary collaboration between sociology, demography, and public health disciplines.
As an active member of the LIVES research collective, she participates in projects analyzing vulnerability transitions during critical life stages including childhood, aging, and socioeconomic transitions. The center's framework emphasizes transnational collaboration across Swiss academic institutions to address complex social challenges through mixed-methods approaches.
