Beccy Lewis is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a PhD (2024) from the University of Connecticut, an MPhil (2018) from the University of Cambridge, and a BA (2017) from the University of York. Her research focuses on syntax-morphology-semantics interfaces, generative typology, and nominal plurality phenomena such as associative plurals. She is currently transitioning out of academia to pursue roles utilizing her research and writing skills.

Research emphasizes cross-linguistic investigation of plural marking systems, particularly syntactic constraints governing associative plurals and heterogeneous plural constructions. Her doctoral work demonstrated how additive plural morphology homophony correlates with differences in nominal functional structure across languages.
