Beatriz Panariello

Dr. Beatriz Panariello serves as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and General Practice Dentistry Preceptor at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, where she integrates microbiology expertise with dental education and patient care.

Her academic foundation includes:

• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Prosthodontics from Sao Paulo State University, Brazil
• Master of Science (MSc) from Sao Paulo State University, Brazil
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Sao Paulo State University, Brazil

Internationally recognized for pioneering work in oral microbiology, her research centers on pathogenic oral biofilms driving conditions like dental caries and periodontal diseases, with publications in leading dental journals emphasizing the critical link between oral health and systemic well-being through evidence-based practice.

Prior to LECOM, she advanced her expertise through postdoctoral training at Indiana University School of Dentistry—where she instructed microbiology courses and mentored dental students—and as a Senior Research Associate at the American Dental Association, solidifying her dual commitment to academic rigor and clinical application.
