Beatrijs Vanacker is an Assistant Professor of French Literature and an FWO Postdoctoral Fellow at the KU Leuven Faculty of Arts. She teaches courses on French and comparative literature, literary translation, and specializes in early modern prose fiction, pseudotranslation, and network analysis of writers’ networks, particularly focusing on women’s authority in the Enlightenment era.

- Member of Belgian Young Academy (since 2019)
- Executive board member of Dutch-Belgian Society for Eighteenth Century Studies
Her research explores transcultural poetics, multilingual practices in the Low Countries, and cultural transfers through literary translation. She employs network analysis to study authority dynamics among early modern writers.
Recent publications focus on translation theory, short narrative pedagogy, and Belgian literary community building. She has held visiting positions at LMU München, Augsburg University, and McGill University.
