- B.A. in Spanish and Comparative Literature, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor
- M.A., Vancouver School of Theology (2009)
- Ph.D., Drew University Graduate Division of Religion (2014)
Dr. Marovich's interdisciplinary work bridges theological studies with ecological philosophy, examining how human consciousness intersects with the natural world. Her background in documentary writing informs her narrative approach to theological questions about embodiment and mortality. Prior journalism experience at a Maine coastal newspaper and training at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies (2005) contribute to her distinctive scholarly voice that challenges conventional boundaries between scientific observation and spiritual inquiry.
Her teaching and research reflect deep engagement with questions of ecological responsibility and the phenomenology of being-in-the-world, positioning theological studies within urgent contemporary conversations about humanity's relationship to the planet and other species.
