Beatrice Marchi

Beatrice Marchi is an Assistant Professor in Heike Baranowski's Fine Arts class at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg since 2024. Previously, she served as a Professor of Fine Arts at NABA University in Milan (2023). Her work focuses on identity roles, gender stereotypes, and collaborative practices through multimedia art forms such as video, performance, and painting.

Education: MFA from HfbK Hamburg (2017) and studies at Accademia di Brera in Milan.

Research interests include exploring group dynamics to challenge societal norms, with a focus on moral and professional definitions. Her art has been exhibited globally, including at MAXXI L’Aquila, Fondazione Prada, and Kunstquartier Bethanien.

Since 2023, she leads workshops like ‘How to Make a Band’ at institutions such as Zurich University of the Arts and EMA Chalon-sur-Saône. In 2023, she won the ArteVisione award for artists working with moving images.
