Beate Niemann is a Professor at the School of Architecture, Wismar University of Applied Sciences. Her work focuses on urban design, sustainable architecture, and climate-resilient planning. She has supervised numerous student projects addressing global challenges such as resource scarcity and climate change, including notable works like "Hydro Metropole" and "The Productive City."

Projects like "Waterfront Flensburg – Revitalization of the East Harbor" and "Converting Alicante - The City and the Water" highlight her expertise in designing cities that respond to environmental shifts.
