Beate Lütke is a Professor at the Institut für deutsche Sprache und Linguistik (Institute of German Language and Linguistics) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her research focuses on register acquisition, language education, and multilingualism, particularly in German as a first and second language contexts. She leads the collaborative research project C05: Young adults’ specialized register knowledge: Modeling late linguistic development in L1 and L2 within the CRC 1412 'Register: Language Users’ Knowledge of Situational-Functional Variation'.
