Beata Stawarska is a Professor of Philosophy and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Oregon's College of Arts and Sciences. She serves on multiple committees including the Curriculum Committee, GTF Appointment Committee, and Graduate Placing Committee. Her research focuses on Contemporary European Philosophy, Phenomenology, Structuralism, and Feminism, with particular emphasis on sociality, embodiment, and linguistic phenomena.

Her recent publications examine topics such as feminist speech act theory, linguistic performativity, and intersections between phenomenology and cognitive science. She received the Humboldt Fellowship (2009-2011) for advanced research at the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
