Beata Lewińska is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Art of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Lublin, specializing in art history and artistic education. She has held leadership roles including Director of the W. Gerson State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2006–2023) and Editor-in-Chief of Szkoła Artystyczna since 2018. Her professional engagements include serving as an expert reviewer for the Ministry of National Education (since 2002), a member of the Council for Artistic Education (2011–2021), and coordinator of national art curriculum projects for ministries of Culture and Education (2013–2023).
Her research focuses on art pedagogy, curriculum development, and the historical evolution of art education in Poland. Key contributions include monographs on art education methodologies and collaborative textbook series like ARS LONGA, which traces art transformations from antiquity to modernity. She has authored over 40 reviews of school art textbooks and co-developed core curricula for national art education frameworks.
Recognition includes the Gloria Artis Bronze Medal (2021), Badge of Merit for Polish Culture (2015), and Medal of the National Education Commission (2015). Her work integrates scholarly research with practical educational policy, emphasizing the role of art in cultural heritage preservation and pedagogical innovation.
