Dr. Basuraj Bhowmik is a Lecturer in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, leading the OSCAR (Online Structural Control and Monitoring) group. His research focuses on real-time structural health monitoring (SHM) of infrastructure systems using data-driven diagnostics, sparse sensor analytics, and intelligent algorithms.
- Develops physics-informed adaptive algorithms for online modal identification and anomaly detection
- Specializes in renewable energy diagnostics, particularly wind turbines
- Pioneers single-sensor analytics for scalable infrastructure monitoring solutions
