Bastian Epp

Bastian Epp is a Group Leader and Associate Professor at the Department of Health Technology, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specializing in Computational Auditory Modeling and Auditory Physics. His research bridges cochlear mechanics, psychoacoustics, and theoretical neuroscience to advance understanding of hearing perception and disorders.

• Education: PhD (Dr. rer. nat., 2010), MSc (2006), BEng (2005) in Engineering Physics from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
• Research: Focuses on cochlear mechanics, tinnitus, EEG, and neural correlates of hearing. Supervises PhD projects on hidden hearing loss, tinnitus diagnostics, and auditory signal processing.

Scientific Awards: Recipient of the Årets underviser (2021) and Lothar-Cremer-Preis (2015).
