Bashir Khoda is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at The University of Maine (UMaine), Orono. His research focuses on digital manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and bio-manufacturing, with grants from NSF, DOT, NIH, NASA, and others. He teaches courses like Engineering Mechanics, Manufacturing Engineering, and Digital Manufacturing, and leads interdisciplinary initiatives through affiliations with the Advanced Structures and Composites Center (ASCC), Bio-medical Science and Engineering, and Material Science programs. Khoda holds a Ph.D. from the University at Buffalo (SUNY) and serves on the editorial board of Scientific Reports. His work integrates design, materials science, and digitization to address advanced manufacturing challenges, with ongoing patent applications in novel manufacturing processes.
